The first agro-aggregator in the region collects and supplies farm products to retail outlets. The storage and distribution center created for these needs occupies an area of 4,8 thousand m². In one season, at least 9 thousand tons of products from Sverdlovsk peasant farms can be sent through the network.
The aggregator has already included more than 20 local farms. In this way, farmers plan to organize sales of vegetables, including potatoes, beets, carrots, white cabbage, and zucchini.
Anna Kuznetsova, Minister of the Agro-Industrial Complex and Consumer Market of the Sverdlovsk Region, believes that the work of the aggregator will increase the share of small producers in the assortment of federal retailers. The emergence of such centers guarantees farmers an additional channel for selling their goods, and Sverdlovsk residents will be able to purchase quality products in stores.
