An agronomic meeting was held in Ulan-Ude, during which the results of 2023 and plans for the spring campaign were discussed. Its participants included leading vegetable and potato growers of the republic.
As was stated at the event, local farmers managed to achieve excellent results. The historical record for the yield of a number of agricultural crops was updated. For example, we managed to get 150 centners of potatoes per hectare, and 314,1 centners of vegetables per hectare. According to the head of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov, such indicators are a very serious achievement for the harsh natural and climatic conditions of the region.
Spring field work in the republic starts only in May. The planned sown area will be 139,9 thousand hectares, which is 17,8% higher than last year.
