The sowing campaign will cost Novosibirsk farmers 17,5 billion rubles, while in 2023 their expenses amounted to 16,5 billion rubles. Almost two thirds of agricultural producers' costs are spent on mineral fertilizers and plant protection products.
As the regional Minister of Agriculture Evgeniy Leshchenko said, about 60% of the cost of spring work will be financed from the industry’s own working capital. And the rest comes from bank loans, advances from processing enterprises and government support.
The total sown area in the new season will exceed 2 million 361,9 thousand hectares. In the region, it is planned to reduce the areas allocated for grains, potatoes and vegetables. But on the contrary, there will be more fields with industrial crops.
