In the Taldom city district of the Moscow region, the construction of the second stage of the modern potato storage is being completed. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region Andrei Razin.
“The investment project with a capacity of about 11 thousand tons of one-time storage of potato seed material in the Taldom city district is nearing completion. The object is being built in two stages. The total area of the two storage facilities will be 6 thousand square meters. The first storage facility was commissioned last year. On the territory of the second stage of the complex at the moment 5 out of 11 lockers are fully equipped, the 6th is being built- said Andrey Razin.
The potato storage facility is being built by the largest agricultural holding, Dmitrovsky Vegetables, near Moscow, where vegetables and potatoes are grown in open ground. Last year, the farm produced more than 102 thousand tons of vegetables and potatoes, the sown area of the farm is about 13 thousand hectares.
“The new storage facility is equipped with a unique ventilation system, equipped with outdoor and indoor temperature sensors, humidity sensors for air and gas. The project is provided with heat, energy and water resources. The completion of construction and the facility’s full capacity are planned for the end of this year. ”, - said Andrey Razin.
In conclusion, the minister added that modern storages together with the processing of potatoes and other vegetables will make it possible to obtain high-quality products and sell them year-round.
