The current until 2021, according to which, when importing regulated products into Russia, namely plants, organisms or materials that may contain infectious elements, all laboratory tests of samples and samples will be carried out at the expense of the owners of these products, it is proposed to extend until January 1, 2023 , Interfax reports.
The corresponding bill was developed by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexei Gordeev and Chairman of the Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues Vladimir Kashin. The document has been published in the electronic database of the State Duma.
Otherwise, all research from January next year will be carried out at the expense of the budget of the Russian Federation, said Alexei Gordeev.
If this gap is not eliminated, the state will support foreign producers, not domestic ones, Gordeev explained. According to experts, the research of exporters' products will require about 1 billion rubles from the RF budget annually.
The list of goods for which import quarantine tests are carried out include flowers and bulbs, fruits, vegetables, cereals, coffee and tea, nuts, plants for perfumery, fertilizers, various types of wood, tobacco raw materials.
