According to the website Potato News TodayNext Wednesday, 19 August 2020, the Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board of Great Britain (AHDB) will host a webinar on potato desiccation. During this online event, attendees will be able to discuss the results of tests conducted on SPot farms this year as AHDB continues to provide independent data on which desiccant is the best substitute for diquat.
The webinar will also feature test results from previous seasons and will host an interview with the program's lead researcher, Mark Stalham.

About the experts
Dr. Mark Stalham heads the Potato Research Unit of the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB CUF).
Has extensive experience in field testing of potatoes. He has a PhD in Agronomy (growing potato chips) and an MA in Viticulture, is a member of the Cambridge University Potato Research Association (CUPGRA), and has regularly participated in the AHDB strategic program for the development of SPot potato farms since its inception five years ago.
David Wilson started his career as a farm manager and later as an agronomist, worked for the company McCain UK plc; served as regional manager and potato specialist for Syngenta. Now he is an employee of AHDB.
David's extensive experience in potato farming means he has excellent knowledge of the cultivation of this crop in the UK and is familiar with many growers around the country.
