The agricultural firm "Razdolye" completed the harvest in 2020. For the vegetable group, the last year's result was improved by 15-20 percent.
The subject of special pride is the cabbage harvest on the site located in the village of Bogoslovka, Penza region. There, the farmers set an absolute record, having achieved a yield of 100 tons per hectare.
“It's all about the correct organization of irrigation, the timely use of plant protection products and fertilizers,” explained the chief agronomist of the company Viktor Bataykin.
In total, 1600 tons of cabbage and 860 tons of carrots were harvested at Razdolye.
Serious results have been achieved in the field. The yield exceeded 55 tons per hectare, the gross harvest amounted to about 1200 tons.
According to Viktor Bataykin, the plans for next year are to increase the acreage for onion by 30 percent. Now about 20 hectares have been allocated for cultivation.
The potato yield was maintained at a decent level, despite the fact that the country's farmers dubbed 2020 “not potato”. Spring frosts and heavy precipitation played a role: 190 mm of precipitation fell in April-May with an annual rate of 400 mm. Nevertheless, the gross harvest of potatoes amounted to about 8,2 thousand tons.
