VTB opened a credit line for Ruspole Brands Group of Companies in the amount of 2,5 billion rubles for a period of eight years for the construction of the largest cannery in Russia for the production of products under the Uncle Vanya trademark. Financing is provided on concessional terms within the framework of a program implemented jointly with the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
The construction of a new plant is underway in Volzhsky, a satellite town of Volgograd. Its main activity will be the production of pickled products from fresh vegetables and fruits grown on the company's own fields in the region. The design capacity is 40 million cans per year, the assortment will include about 100 items. At the first stage, the enterprise will create more than 500 jobs.
“The new plant of Ruspole Brands Group of Companies is one of the significant investment projects launched in 2020 with our participation under the program of the Ministry of Agriculture. At the moment, VTB has signed more than 3,5 thousand agreements under the program for the amount of about 400 billion rubles. Almost half of this volume is for investment purposes. The reduced rate allows farmers to reduce costs in the implementation of their projects and continue sustainable development, providing high-quality products to consumers both domestically and abroad, "said Ruslan Eremenko, Head of the Regional Corporate Business Department - Senior Vice President of VTB.
“Thanks to VTB's concessional financing, our new enterprise will be ready to sell the first products in the 4th quarter of 2021, which will ensure an annual growth in sales of the Uncle Vanya trademark of at least 20% per year,” said Tigran Telunts, owner of Ruspole Brands Group.
