Specialists of the Russian Economic University named after. G.V. Plekhanov are developing improved biodegradable materials for agriculture, reports official website of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The novelty of the work lies in the selection of new formulations of binary and multicomponent polymer systems based on polyester-polylactide, natural rubber and other components for the production of biodegradable film and fibrous materials for use in the agricultural sector.
The scientific group is also studying the regularities of the process of destruction of the obtained green materials under the influence of environmental factors using modern methods of physical and chemical analysis. Based on the data obtained, scientists will create a scheme for the destruction of materials, which will make it possible to establish the patterns and mechanism of degradation of polymer compositions based on polylactide and natural rubber, assess the service life of the material and determine the optimal composition of the mixture. Research results published in Bulletin of Agricultural Science.
