The AFG National group of companies has completed the preparation of vegetable stores in the Nizhny Novgorod region for the acceptance of a new crop, the press service of the agricultural holding reports with reference to the head of the Vegetables division Valery Maslanov.
It is about technological storage systems with a capacity of over 40 thousand tons, built and commissioned in 2016. “The modern vegetable storages built last year made it possible to preserve the entire volume of stored products without loss, which could not be achieved in arch-type storages, which are traditionally used by many manufacturers,” the message says.
According to the information of the AFG National Group of Companies, this year in the Nizhny Novgorod region it is planned to collect 20 thousand tons of carrots from 250 hectares of land. By the beginning of October, work on harvesting potatoes will also be completed: from fields with an area of 933 hectares, it is expected to harvest 48-50 thousand tons.
