The work of the agro-industrial complex of the Tambov region, preparations for the sowing campaign and state support for farmers were discussed by the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev and the acting head of the regional administration Maxim Egorov at a working meeting at the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture reports.
In 2022, the region plans to expand the sown area, including under winter wheat and borscht vegetables. Farmers are provided with all the necessary material and technical resources for spring field work. At the same time, the region annually increases the volume of application of mineral fertilizers - now it significantly exceeds the national average.
Systematic work to increase crop production directly depends on the development of land reclamation. Today, 100% of the available reclaimed agricultural land is used in the region, which is a good basis for the implementation of the State Program for the effective involvement of agricultural land in the circulation and the development of the reclamation complex.
During the meeting, the parties considered issues of state support for the agro-industrial complex of the region and the development of rural areas. The region demonstrates a high level of disbursement in these areas. So, according to the State program of the agro-industrial complex in 2021, it exceeded 99,9%, and according to the state program "Comprehensive development of rural areas" - 100%. This year, development is also higher than the national average.
