Industry associations are in favor of excluding the agro-industrial complex from the draft resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation, according to which they plan to oblige recipients of subsidies to implement artificial intelligence (AI).
Representatives of the agricultural business indicate that AI technologies will require large expenses. But Russian farmers have not yet adapted to the withdrawal of Western companies from the market, which has led to an increase in the cost of agricultural products. In such conditions, limiting state support will negatively affect the investment activity of the industry.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation emphasized that it is also categorically against linking preferential subsidies to the implementation of AI. Therefore, its specialists are working to exclude the agro-industrial complex from the draft of this document.
The agricultural department noted that attracting preferential loans and leasing equipment is directly related to seasonal field work. A decrease in their funding will negatively affect the achievement of food security indicators in our country.
