Farmers from the Astrakhan region are experiencing serious problems with the sale of their products. Once again, this question was raised during the visit of the head of the region Igor Babushkin to the Kharabalinsky district, where he talked with large agricultural producers and farmers.
So, the farmer Sergey Novikov, who is engaged in the cultivation of potatoes, complained to Igor Babushkin about the vegetable storehouse clogged with top-notch ecological products. According to Novikov, this is due to serious sales problems - now the famous Kharabalin potatoes have to be sold at very low prices at a loss. Igor Babushkin instructed the Minister of Agriculture of the region, Ruslan Pashayev, to resolve this issue.
The head of the Ministry of Agriculture immediately informed the governor that negotiations on the sale of Kharabalin potatoes to Moscow, Moscow Region and St. Petersburg were already underway. If it is possible to enter these markets, then products can be sold at higher prices, since demand in these regions is high. In addition, they are exploring options for deliveries abroad - to Azerbaijan.
On the eve of the New Year, Astrakhan agricultural producers complained to Igor Babushkin about problems with the sale of manufactured products and said that they had to sell it to intermediaries for nothing. It is intermediaries in the future that process products: they pack, sort, label, promote in retail chains. Thus, they skim the cream in the form of high added value, while Astrakhan farmers, who do not always have the technological, logistic and marketing opportunities for such a promotion, are left with nothing.
