The branch of JSC Firm "August" "Vurnar plant of mixed preparations" continues to modernize equipment. In February 2022, the company installed a new automated packaging line for plant protection products for personal and subsidiary plots. It will increase the filling speed from 400 to 1200 units per hour.
The filling line is designed for filling liquid preparations into four types of containers (bottles and jars from 250 to 1000 ml). The new line mechanism functions as follows. First, empty containers from the storage table automatically enter the filling unit, where packaging is carried out. The bottling machine has two roll-off units - one for packing herbicides and one for fungicides and insecticides.
Further, the products go along the conveyor belt to the twisting unit, where the cap is fed, and the packaged drug is closed. A vial or jar that has been sealed is weighed and, if abnormalities are found, they are discarded. The processes of sealing bottles and cans, applying labels and digital marking are also automated.
A worker on the line lays out fully finished and packaged products from the storage table into corrugated boxes. This is practically the only point where manual labor is required on the line. The box is already sealed automatically, followed by a label and marking.
On the packaging line, which functioned earlier, the capping of bottles and cans was carried out by the employees of the plant using a manual pneumatic drill. The weighing of the prepackaged drug and the transfer of the packaged products to the labeling machine were also performed by the staff, as well as the sealing of the corrugated boxes with the batches of the drug. Thus, with the help of the new line, manual labor and the need for control over it are minimized. At the same time, the safety of production as a whole is increased, since the possibility of direct contact of employees with drugs is excluded: the bottling unit on the line is closed. In addition, automation will increase the filling speed from 400 to 1200 units per hour.
The first batch of products has already been packed on the new line, which was sent for export. At the moment, the process of setting up equipment before a full-fledged launch is approaching the final stage.
