The official instructed the local authorities to keep the situation under control and provide all necessary assistance to the Ural farmers.
The disaster hit one of the most important agricultural regions of the Ural Federal District - the Kurgan region. The region specializes in growing grains and oilseeds, vegetables and potatoes. The products produced here are in high demand both in Russia and abroad.
