As part of a working trip to the Lazo region, Mikhail Degtyarev met with the collective of the agricultural consumer processing cooperative "Lazovskie products". The cooperative was created in 2017 in the village of Poletnoye.
The cooperative, mainly focused on growing potatoes and vegetables, includes eleven agricultural producers: five peasant (farmer) households and six personal subsidiary plots. Sown area - 100 hectares, including 7 hectares of potatoes, 75 hectares of vegetables, 15 hectares of melons and gourds. Also, vegetables are grown in greenhouses with an area of 0,3 hectares.
- We set ourselves the task of reviving agriculture. We must strive to ensure that 100% of ourselves in the Khabarovsk Territory is provided with meat and milk from local farms, our own potatoes and vegetables. There is a fairly large list of support measures that agricultural producers can count on, ”the head of the region emphasized.
During the existence of the cooperative, the regional Ministry of Agriculture has provided support for the development of the material and technical base in the amount of 9,1 million rubles.
- We have created a cooperative so that not only everyone can grow fresh produce individually, but also to process local vegetables for the winter. In 2019, we applied for a grant of more than 5 million rubles and supplied a modular vegetable processing plant, which will be launched in August. Our co-financing is another 40%. We plan to produce about 300 liter cans a day, and I think we will release 15 thousand cans per season, ”said Natalya Pak, chairman of the Lazovskiye Produkty cooperative.
She clarified that it was quite easy to apply for a grant, since the regional ministry of agriculture, trade, food and processing industry helps farmers with documents. Now the cooperative intends to take part in the grant competition, which will take place in September this year. Farmers want to build a vegetable storehouse with a capacity of up to 500 tons. Preliminary costs are estimated at 10 million rubles.
This season, farmers plan to grow and preserve up to 50 tons of cucumbers, 30 tons of cabbage, 10 tons of tomatoes and 10 tons of ferns. The cooperative's products are sold in Khabarovsk in a large supermarket chain, as well as in the wholesale market.
