We continue to monitor selling prices for table potatoes in the Russian regions. We thank all potato growers who provide us with up-to-date data! It is very pleasant that the number of survey participants is increasing from time to time.
So, during the period 21 to 28 March 2022 of the year wholesale batches of potatoes (from 20 tons) in Russia were sold at prices from 26 to 45 rubles/kg.
The lowest prices for products were established in the Republic of Udmurtia: 45+ caliber potatoes with minor damage were purchased by intermediaries at 26 rubles/kg, and batches of 50+ caliber without damage were sold at 27 rubles/kg. Against this background, some producers of this region temporarily suspended sales in anticipation of higher prices for their goods.
Prices were fixed at almost the same level in the Saratov region: a batch of 45+ caliber potatoes, without comment, was sold at 27 rubles per kg.
A similar picture was observed in the Sverdlovsk region: potatoes of caliber 45+, with a few remarks, intermediaries purchased at 28 rubles / kg.
In the Nizhny Novgorod region, potatoes were more expensive: a batch of 50+ caliber products, without damage, was purchased by an intermediary at 34 rubles per kg.
An agricultural producer from the Kursk region noted that the last batches of potatoes (caliber 50+, no remarks) this season were sold at 35 rubles per kg. At the same price, potatoes were sold last week in the Ryazan region, however, here it was a batch of 45+ caliber, with minor damage.
In the Yaroslavl region, prices for batches of 50+ caliber, without comment, fluctuated in the range from 35 to 42 rubles / kg (our survey participants indicated that they were selling on their own, without intermediaries).
In the Novgorod region, a batch of 50+ caliber potatoes, without damage, was delivered to the distribution network at a price of 40 rubles per kg.
In the Tver region, potatoes of caliber 45+ were sold to the distribution network at 42 rubles/kg without comment.
And finally, the highest price for the product was recorded in the Moscow region: a batch of products in caliber 45+, without remarks, was sent to the customer at 45 rubles / kg.
If you continue to sell your potato harvest, we invite you to take part in our project: a new survey on prices here. We will sum it up on April 4th.
You can follow the interim results of the survey in mobile application to the magazine "Potato system".
