How to minimize losses from diseases and pests when growing potatoes and get a rich harvest? Among the necessary components of success are adherence to production technology, the use of a well-structured plant protection scheme and a reliance on modern, highly effective chemical protection systems, experts from August-Kazakhstan LLP are confident.
All guests of the Potato Day, held on August 30 in the Nura district of the Karaganda region (Republic of Kazakhstan) at the Alderan farm, could receive visual confirmation of this.
The event was organized by August-Kazakhstan LLP and AlemAgro.
Experts from August-Kazakhstan LLP told the guests of the meeting about the farm’s experience in growing the early-ripening Colomba variety, the traditional plant protection schemes used, and also presented the results of experiments on the introduction of new drugs from the August company.
As the company’s leading technologist Nurgali Kanitaev noted, the new plant protection products (according to the company’s plans, these drugs should receive registration in the country in 2024) showed their best performance: the potato yield on the demo plots was 10% higher than on the fields of the farm where the same product was grown variety.
The August-Kazakhstan company strives to constantly improve agricultural methods that contribute to high yields. Together with its partner company AlemAgro, it contributes to the development of the country's agriculture.
