Peasant farms (peasant farms) in Russia at the end of 2018 provided 12% of the total agricultural production. This is stated in the "National report on the progress and implementation of the state program for the development of agriculture", published on the website of the government of the Russian Federation.
At the same time, the document states that from 2006 to 2016 the total number of peasant farms and private entrepreneurs (in the field of agriculture) decreased by 38,7% - to almost 200 thousand enterprises.
“Despite the reduction in the number of peasant farms, in general, for 2014-2018, there has been an increase in the production potential and the volume of production of their products. This is mainly due to the volume of production obtained from cattle breeding (cattle - approx. Ed.), ”The report says.
So, compared to 2014, the number of cows increased by more than 20%, as a result of which the volume of milk production in peasant farms in 2018 increased by more than 30% compared to 2014.
