Participants of the expedition to Peru, organized by the Potato System magazine with the support of the Potato Union and the POTATOES NEWS portal, visited the International Potato Center in Lima. The center staff conducted a tour during which they demonstrated wild potato species, as well as the achievements of breeders.

The International Potato Center (CIP) was founded in 1971 as a research organization promoting solutions to pressing problems of hunger, poverty and natural resource depletion.

The Russian group and CIP specialists discussed cooperation opportunities and prospects for joint scientific and practical activities.
