The federal network of cafes "Kroshka Kartoshka" plans to triple the number of its establishments over the next three to five years and does not rule out an IPO, Sergey Zaitsev, CEO of the network, said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“Now the company feels good: we have no loans, no debts, we just completed the development of the system and support for franchising. An IPO and attraction of investments are certainly in the plans, but for this it is necessary to grow at least three times, and this is a perspective of three to five years,” Zaitsev said.
He clarified that the network now has 250 points (75 own and 175 franchised) and about 3,5 thousand employees. “There are only 25 cities, but our plans include all major cities. By the end of this year, we will begin work on developing the network in Siberia, and then we will look at the Far East,” the agency’s interlocutor said.
He noted that the network will increase in the number of establishments from year to year. “Last year we grew by about 25 points, we want to grow by 25-30 this year. Yes, the growth is quite moderate, but we did not force development, because we were fully engaged in updating the brand,” he added.
Zaitsev said that the company plans to increase its revenue this year, up to 5 billion rubles. “This is 15-20% more than we managed to earn last year,” he clarified.
