The government is expanding the range of measures to support farmers. They will affect the self-employed, leading personal subsidiary plots, as well as producers of seeds, dairy products and feed for valuable fish species. The resolutions on this were signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, reports official website of the Government.
For the self-employed who run a personal subsidiary plot, preferential loans will now be available at a rate of 1-5% per annum. This applies to both short-term loans and investment loans for up to 12 years.
Such support will allow the self-employed to increase the volume of their production and will become an incentive for the development of private household plots.
Another measure to support agricultural producers is the possibility of prolonging the previously attracted preferential investment loan for the construction of new greenhouse complexes from 12 to 15 years.
“We hope that this step will reduce the risks for investors involved in such projects and will allow us to increase the supply of fresh vegetables and fruits to the domestic market throughout the country all year round,” Mikhail Mishustin emphasized during a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers.
Also, from 2023, the amount of reimbursement of part of the costs of creating or updating breeding and seed complexes will increase from 20 to 50%. This measure will help to almost halve the payback period of such projects and attract more investors, increasing the share of Russian-produced seeds in the domestic market.
The signed document amended Decree of the Government of November 24, 2018 No. 1413.
