The authorities reacted disapprovingly to the farming community's proposal to limit the export of diesel fuel due to high prices.
According to First Deputy Minister of Agriculture Oksana Lut, there is no shortage of this product in the country, and the increase in its cost is a “seasonal increase.” Last year's restriction on the export of gasoline and diesel fuel was a necessary measure. Today, its repetition could lead to a decrease in production volumes, which is disadvantageous for market players.
Taking into account the attitude of agricultural producers to the next increase in diesel prices, the agricultural department is conducting a dialogue with the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation in order to stabilize the pricing processes.
