Harvested should be enough until next season. In agricultural enterprises and peasant farms planned to get 40 thousand tons of tubers to provide the population with potatoes.
But the agrarians of Sakhalin, in spite of the weather conditions, not only achieved their tasks, but also exceeded the plan. This year, 45,5 thousand tons of tubers were harvested on the fields of the island region.
“The harvested potatoes are of good quality, they have already been put into storage,” said Gennady Lysenko, deputy director of the department of crop production and small forms of farming, “now the active stage of ventilation and preparation of potatoes for storage has begun.
I would like to pay special attention to the fact that the potato yield in agricultural enterprises increased by 20% (compared to 2017). In general, for agricultural enterprises and peasant farms, the potato yield this year is 10% higher, "said Gennady Lysenko ...
Among the agricultural enterprises of the region, the largest number of potatoes per hectare of sable is in JSC Sovkhoz Teplichny (320 centners per hectare), JSC Sovkhoz Yuzhno-Sakhalinsky (272 centners per hectare) and LLC peasant farm Ogonki (271 centners per hectare). Among the farmers, the leaders in the collection of potatoes were T.Atavkazakhov T.A., V.V. Loginov and F.G. Arkhipov.
The largest volume of potato production in the region was achieved at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsky State Farm JSC. The state farm grows 50% of tubers among the agricultural enterprises of the region: 555 hectares of fields are allocated for potatoes.
“More than half of the planting area was occupied by elite and highly productive seeds, - said the chief agronomist of the enterprise Tatyana Shkuro, - The potato harvest this year was much better - we harvested 15,1 thousand tons, and in 2017 we got 12 thousand tons of tubers”.
Recall that the hairy harvests that were achieved at the Yuzhno-Sakhalinsky state farm made it possible to reduce the cost of a kilogram of potatoes to 18 rubles. This is one of the lowest prices among the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District.
