According to the press service of the governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug (YNAO), potato harvesting has started on the peninsula. According to preliminary estimates, farmers working in the Far North will harvest over 400 tons of tubers this year.
The farmers of Salekhard were the first to start harvesting. In the new season, about 200 tons of root crops were grown in the fields of the Yamal Potato district enterprise. Farms in the Nadymsky, Krasnoselkupsky and Shuryshkarsky districts of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug are also engaged in growing crops.
