The Russian government has made changes to the rules for providing subsidies for the implementation of reclamation measures. The list of recipients of state support includes scientific and educational organizations, including those involved in breeding and seed production.
According to Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, land reclamation and the inclusion of new lands in circulation will accelerate the development of the country's agriculture. Six research centers that are engaged in the breeding of oilseeds and grain crops, soybeans, and sugar beets are already ready to take part in the relevant programs.
According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, it is also planned to increase compensation for costs of agroforestry and phytomelioration activities from 50 to 90%. Recipients of subsidies will be able to partially reimburse the costs for the development of design and estimate documentation.
