Seven inventions in the field of plant growing and agricultural engineering are presented.
- Startup competition within the series "Agrotechnics on tour" - Innovative spirit of the region in the first place - Main prize - "Agrotechnica" stand, won by NovBiotech for the invention: Stimulation of vegetative plants with a laser (DLG).
The Agritechnica Digital Program is organizing this week a virtual event to celebrate the innovation of the winning startups and runners-up of the AgTechInventum Startup Competition, a recently launched initiative to recognize innovative concepts from the Russian-speaking region.
Held on November 18, 2021, 14:00 - 16:00 and hosted in English and Russian, the live event spans seven solutions that apply technologies such as laser or unmanned aerial vehicles to challenges such as growing seed potatoes in the Arctic. zone or exact spread.
“Creativity, new ideas and inventions play an important role in the agriculture of the Russian-speaking region. There is a tradition of using the ideas of everyone working on the farm to solve a technical problem, and this creates a spirit of invention. The multitude of startups, each offering a new practical product, is the result we want to achieve, ”says Dr. Olga Hunger, Regional Director for Eastern Europe at DLG (German Agricultural Society).
Over the past year, about 80 selection works were submitted for the start-up competition, of which 25 shortlisted candidates presented their inventions in three sessions before the jury, which selected the most promising inventions. Using criteria such as ingenuity and originality. The jury, the AgTechInventum expert council, consists of companies, scientists and organizations. Seven “Best of the Best Projects” from Russia and Belarus will be presented on November 18, 2021 as part of the Agritechnica Digital program.
The main prize and runners-up were announced last month.
For its invention, which uses a laser to stimulate vegetative plants, Novbiotech received the main prize - the Agrotechnica exhibitor's stand in Hall 13 in the DLG-Agrifuturelab launch area. Experts from NovBiotech will be in Hannover at their booth February 27 - March 5, 2022.
With the aim of promoting technical innovation in agriculture, the launch problem was initiated by AgTechTnventum, a non-profit association establishes the Association of Agricultural Engineering of the Russian Federation by means (ACXOD) and VDMA of agricultural machinery.
This week's interactive and live event, which calls for a launch to convey its innovations, is part of Agritechnica on Tour, a new series of virtual events, each of which explores the latest in agricultural technology.
