Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov launched the ninth potato chip production line at the PepsiCo plant in Kashira, Moscow Region.
“We have launched another line of chips, Lays. Before that, snacks were launched. What's nice is that every year we see new investments. I very much hope that every two years, at least, we will come here, ”said Vorobyov at the opening.
The new line will produce about 20 thousand tons of chips per year. Investments in the project amounted to about 2,4 billion rubles. About 100 people will work on the line.
Together with the head of the region, the president of PepsiCo across Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia Neil Starrock pressed the start production button.
After that, the governor talked with the employees of the shops and tried the ready-made chips.
