Within the framework of the All-Russian Agro-Industrial Exhibition "Golden Autumn-2022" at the Don stand, an agreement was signed on cooperation between the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region and the limited liability company "Poisk" Agrofirma, which is engaged in the selection of varieties and hybrids of vegetable crops, the production of seeds and planting material, informs official website of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
The document was signed by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Rostov Region Konstantin Rachalovsky and Director for Science of Agrofirma Poisk LLC Nikolay Klimenko.
By signing the agreement, the parties agreed on interaction and cooperation in the implementation of methodological, expert-analytical and research work in the field of vegetable growing.
“Vegetable growing is one of the leading branches of agriculture in the Don region, so serious attention is paid to the production of open-ground vegetables,” commented Victor Goncharov, First Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region. “The main task of such cooperation is to ensure the import substitution of vegetable seeds and the transfer of the main volumes of vegetable production in the Don region to domestic varieties and hybrids in order to obtain environmentally friendly vegetable products.”
