During a meeting with the participation of the financial director of the transnational company Farm Frites Beheer BV Joseph Leonardus Theodorus, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazakh Invest JSC and K-Agro Holding LLP, organizational issues of the construction of a factory for 400 jobs in the Zhambyl region were discussed .
According to the information voiced at the meeting, the project "Construction of an export-oriented factory for the production of French fries" worth $ 145 million will be soon launched.
It remains to resolve some issues, in particular, to maintain the existing measures of state support for investment projects, as well as the stable provision of the plant with raw materials. Investors believe that the best platform for growing potatoes in large volumes may be the Shu district of Zhambyl region.
It is worth noting that the project is financed from TNK's own funds, as well as through loans from DBK and the Agrarian Credit Corporation.
Under previously defined conditions, a plant with a capacity of 70 thousand tons of french fries will begin to produce products in 2021.
Farm Frites Beheer BV (Oudenhorn, South Holland) produces frozen and chilled potato products. The company has 40 sales offices and six factories with 1500 employees in 40 countries. Potato processing is 1,3 million tons per year with export to more than 80 countries.
Farm Frites is the world's fourth largest producer of French fries and one of the international suppliers of McDonald's and other fast food restaurants.
