This year, Tatarstan plans to harvest about 120 tons of potatoes. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic Marat Zyabbarov at a briefing in the Cabinet, reports “Kommersant”.
Now potatoes have been harvested on 476 hectares (10,3% of the area) in the republic. To date, 12,2 thousand tons of potatoes have been dug out, the average yield is 256 c/ha.
According to a preliminary calculation, residents in the region will be provided with their own vegetables by 70%. Now 314 hectares (12%) have been harvested and 4,9 thousand tons of vegetables have been harvested. The average yield is 155,3 q/ha.
Seven districts out of 10 have started sugar beet harvesting. Cleaning area - 50 thousand hectares. To date, 16% of the area has been harvested and 240 thousand tons of beets have been dug.
In total, this year they expect to receive about 300 thousand tons of granulated sugar from 1,8 million tons of sugar beets.
