The government approved a strategy for the development of agricultural machinery for the period until 2030.
“We make the decision, the strategy is approved,” Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting of the Russian government.
He noted that the industry has a good potential for development. “We must have plans for the future. This strategy sets us a benchmark for the development of agricultural machinery for the next 12 years, ”Medvedev said.
As Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich said at the meeting, now the key issue is to maintain state support at a predictable level with a gradual increase in requirements for technological operations that will allow the industry to ensure the competitiveness of products in world markets.
“In the future, by supporting exports, we will be able to build up the potential of the industry by directly entering foreign markets, while maintaining the pace of modernization for the actual fleet [of agricultural machinery - approx. TASS] ”, - noted Dvorkovich.
