Economy IP Kabdenova T.E. in the Omsk region tested the benefits of a navigation system for growing potatoes. agricultural machinery planted about 60% of potatoes, the official portal of the Government of the Omsk Region reports.
The sown area of an agricultural enterprise in the village of Druzhino, Omsk Region, which is led by individual entrepreneur Toksan Kabdenov, is 2 thousand hectares, of which 200 hectares are planted for potatoes.
Mostly for planting here they use the popular Dutch variety of potato “Gala”, which has excellent taste and gives a good harvest. This year, elite potato seeds were purchased at the farm in one of the seed farms of the Tyumen region, and in the coming days it is planned to plant them on an area of 60 hectares.
In addition to potatoes, the company plants carrots, is engaged in the cultivation of wheat, soybeans, and this year they decided to sow an oilseed crop - rapeseed. According to the head of the enterprise Toksan Kabdenov, the influence of weather conditions influenced the timing of the sowing campaign. “Due to the vagaries of the spring weather, we did not manage to plant potatoes in April, as previously planned, and work began only on May 15,” the entrepreneur explains. At the enterprise, when planting potatoes, a special technology is observed: planting dates, application of mineral fertilizers, application of the necessary plant protection products (treatment with fungicides and herbicides).
On average, the yield of potatoes is 400 c / ha, the gross turnover is 7-8 thousand tons. The potatoes are planted with special German-made equipment, the tractor is equipped with a satellite navigation system GLONASS and GPS, which allows it to be controlled without the help of a machine operator, while the planting speed increases. Three tractors are used to plant potatoes.
One of the main advantages of the navigation system, according to Toksan Kabdenov, is the earthing up of potatoes, which helps to prevent the gardening of tubers, and to monitor the planting technology. Potatoes in the farm are planned to be removed from the fields in the first ten days of September, and early potatoes in August. Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk Region Nikolai Drofa explained: “The weather today does not stop spring field work, although the growing season is slightly delayed, the planting of vegetables has also shifted in timing. We’ll try to finish sowing in the established agrotechnical terms. ”
