At the end of February, a meeting of the national technical committee for standardization in the field of seed production TK-359 "Seeds and planting material" was held, at which the draft national standard GOST R "Seed potatoes. Sampling and methods for diagnostics of phytopathogens ”. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoztsentr", Deputy Chairman of TC-359 Yu.N. Nikolaev.
Draft national standard GOST R “Seed potatoes. Sampling and methods for diagnostics of phytopathogens "was developed by the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution" Federal Research Center for Potatoes named after A.G. Lorkha "with the participation of the Federal State Budgetary Institution" Rosselkhoztsentr ".
The main report was made by the head of the development Boris Vasilyevich Anisimov, candidate of biological sciences, head of the laboratory of varietal identification and soil control of seed potato varieties. He noted that currently the developed draft of the national standard is essential and relevant. In modern practice, in the process of potato seed growing, a change in the biological diversity of a number of dangerous pathogens is traced, namely, new strains of viruses appear that cause more severe forms of damage to the terrestrial part of plants and tubers, the spread of bacteriosis is increasing due to the emergence of new types of pathogens of the "black leg" and ring rot of tubers, as well as earlier terms of appearance of late blight and alternaria.
Proposed draft standard GOST R “Seed potatoes. Sampling and methods for diagnosing phytopathogens ”will improve and update the regulatory framework of national standards for seed potatoes, optimize the procedures for conducting laboratory tests to check batches of this crop based on modern requirements for improving the quality of planting material. There are no analogues among the interstate standards.
An active part in the discussion of the draft standard was taken by K.A. Nikulchev (FGBNU "FITS VNII Soy"), V.E. Karandashov (LLC "Independent Diagnostic Laboratory"), A.V. Ivanov (branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Rosselkhoztsentr" in the Leningrad Region).
The final version of the draft national standard GOST R “Seed potatoes. Sampling and methods for diagnostics of phytopathogens ", revised taking into account the comments and suggestions received during the consideration of the project on TK-359, is planned to be submitted to Rosstandart in the prescribed manner.
The approval of the standard and its implementation is scheduled for 2022.
