At the beginning of April, the department had already conducted an audit of 33 seed testing laboratories in nine countries around the world. The list of those that, based on the results of inspections, will be recognized by Rosselkhoznadzor will appear on the official portal.
In the fall of 2023, amendments to the Federal Law “On Seed Production” came into force. In connection with the adopted changes, the import of seeds and planting material from foreign countries that have not undergone the laboratory audit procedure to confirm compliance with Russian legislation will become impossible from September 1, 2024.
