According to EastFruit, this week in the potato and carrot market, the price leadership has returned to the previous leaders, Ukraine and Georgia, respectively.
Potato
Thus, in Moldova Potato prices fell to 29-35 cents per kg by the end of the week, as a result of which the leadership in this indicator returned to Ukraine... Key suppliers of these products to the Ukrainian market remained Belarus и Russia, where potato prices remained the lowest of all countries monitored by EastFruit. This week in Belarus prices remained stable (14-24 cents per kg), while in Russia they fell to 11-22 cents per kg due to an excess of low-quality products and frankly weak demand for these products.
In Central Asian countries, potatoes rose slightly by the end of the week, and prices reached 22-26 cents per kg as in TajikistanAnd Uzbekistan. A slight rise in price was also recorded in Georgia, where at the end of the week you could buy potatoes at prices up to 31 cents per kg.
