According to the press service of the administration of the Kostroma region, the issue of attracting students to the harvesting company was worked out by the department of agro-industrial complex with the leadership of the Kostroma State Agricultural Academy on behalf of the regional governor Sergei Sitnikov. Four agricultural producers from the Kostroma, Krasnoselsky and Nerekhtsky regions announced the need for additional forces.
It is planned that students will help at enterprises until the end of September. In particular, they will perform work on harvesting, loading and post-harvest processing of vegetables. Their work will be paid in shifts depending on the type of work.
Agricultural enterprises will organize the delivery of students to the place of work, as well as provide them with free hot meals.
“This is an opportunity for students to gain practical experience and get acquainted with the work of agricultural organizations. This is also an opportunity to earn money and direct assistance to our agricultural enterprises,” said Sergei Ivanov, vice-rector for research at the Kostroma State Agricultural Academy.
