In Russia, it was proposed to hold tenders for the provision of land plots in electronic form, reports Parliamentary Newspaper. The corresponding bill was adopted in the second reading at the plenary session of the State Duma on September 27.
Thus, amendments are being made to the Land Code, which allow conducting electronic auctions for the purchase or lease of land plots that are state and municipal property.
According to Vladimir Samokish, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Property Relations, the readiness of electronic resources and the necessary security of information have been ensured for the implementation of this initiative.
“The bill will increase competition, improve service and reduce corruption, which is present in face-to-face and paper trading,” he said. According to the initiative, the winner of the auction will be able to refuse to conclude a deal, and the right to buy will be given to the participant who made the second highest bid.
