The volume of trade in agricultural products with the Republic of South Africa (RSA) over the 10 months of 2023 increased by 30% and reached $530 million. At the same time, Russian exports almost doubled.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sergei Levin, during a business mission of the Russian delegation to South Africa, noted that the republic is one of our country’s main partners on the African continent. In addition, it is its important partner within the framework of the BRICS work.
According to the Agroexport federal center of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, in 2022 the volume of mutual trade in agricultural products, raw materials and food with South Africa increased by 30,3% - to $488,1 million. At the same time, export supplies from Russia increased 3,4 times – to $98,7 million.
