Interim harvest results in the Amur region show that the total potato harvest is higher than last year, although the sown area in the new season was slightly reduced.
The average crop yield in the region is about 186 c/ha, 11% more than a year ago. Local farmers also note higher quality products.
Amur potatoes are primarily supplied to regional hospitals, schools and kindergartens. A significant share of the harvest is quickly snapped up by consumers from neighboring regions. And some of the tubers are stored.
As noted by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Amur Region, potato growers in the region have already harvested about 40% of the area. In total, they received 12,5 thousand tons of products.
