In the Tyulyachinsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2022, a project was launched to create a seed plant. 70% of the seed produced at the plant will be used for the needs of the farms of the management company "August-Agro", it is also planned to provide services and sell seeds to other crop enterprises. The plant will operate on the basis of the August-Tyulyachi agricultural firm, which will give it the opportunity to receive the status of a seed farm. The production capacity of the site should be 10 tons of products per hour.
Earlier, a grain drying complex (GSC) with a capacity of 50 tons per hour was built in August-Tyulyachi, which allows for commodity cleaning and drying of grain. In 2022, the second stage of the project will start, the infrastructure of which will ensure the development of the seed-growing area: this is the construction of a production building for a seed line, three warehouses with an area of 2 thousand square meters. meters each, a laboratory with a weighing room, a checkpoint and access roads.
The seed plant and the grain drying complex are designed both to work in tandem, when preliminary and primary drying and cleaning of seed material can be carried out at the WG, and for autonomous operation. The total volume of investments in the construction of the entire complex for processing and storing grain should be more than 600 million rubles. ZSK has already been successfully launched, and the seed plant will start operating next summer and will fully participate in the preparations for the sowing of winter crops. Initially, elite and highly reproducible seeds of wheat and peas will be produced here, and in the future there is the possibility of expanding the range at the expense of other field crops.
As part of the technological process, at the stage of preliminary cleaning, the seed material will be selected and removed from light impurities, husks, straw particles, dust, dirt, mineral and organic impurities. Then the grain will go to buffer bins for temporary storage. At the stage of seed, or secondary cleaning, the remaining impurities, weed seeds, feeble and damaged grain are eliminated. The cleaning line at the seed plant will consist of an air-sieve cleaner with a double pneumatic separation system, trier blocks - machines that separate impurities that differ from grains in length (oats and cockle), as well as pneumatic tables, with the help of which the seed material is sorted into fractions with different specific gravity. It is planned that the line will subsequently be equipped with a color sorter. Photo-separation is a relatively new promising technology for sorting agricultural products for the Russian market, which makes it possible to separate weeds from good grain by color and shape.
After sorting, the seeds will go to the treatment line, where they will be treated with drugs to protect against diseases and pests. Modern equipment on this line will make it possible to apply several layers of disinfectants to the surface of the seeds, differentiating the process depending on the needs: simultaneously, in turn, at specified time intervals and with different intensity. New approaches to dressing will allow the procedure to be carried out carefully, minimizing the friction of the seeds against each other and not requiring subsequent drying. Seeds can be shipped both in bulk and after packing in 500 kg bags.
“When developing the production lines of our seed plant, we actually tried to be ahead of the times and meet the needs that only arise in the agro-industrial complex,” says Aidar Galyautdinov, General Director of August-Agro Management Company. – In particular, we know that along with the development of precision farming technologies, the need for high-quality seeds with a high degree of protection against various pathogens is also increasing. We can close these requests, firstly, with the help of innovative preparations of the August company, and secondly, with the help of modern treatment units capable of efficient operation in a flexible mode. Given the objective need to reduce dependence on imports in seed production, we expect that our project will pay for itself many times over, contributing to the prosperity of agriculture in the Republic of Tatarstan and ensuring the sustainability of food security in the country.”
