Two aggregators will be vegetable and one potato. The corresponding proposal was announced during the Days of Chuvashia in the Federation Council.
It is planned that aggregators will accumulate products grown by self-employed farmers in warehouses and package them for delivery to federal retail chains. According to this scheme, it is planned to work in three districts of the region: in Yadrinsky and Cheboksary - for vegetables, in Komsomolsky - for potatoes.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergei Artamonov also spoke about this at the Meeting of Farmers of Chuvashia. “The share of farm products in the total agricultural production in Chuvashia continues to grow. This is facilitated by both state support and the desire of farmers to produce environmentally friendly and competitive products. Many have unrealized high-quality surpluses, and a marketing problem arises. We discuss solutions together: we open mini-markets, create opportunities for small businesses to be included in the organization of school meals, help unite in cooperatives. Another goal is to create aggregators,” he said.
The head of the region supports the idea. “These centers will allow us to secure sales, ensure the expansion of agricultural products, support farmers and develop plans for joint activities.”
