Acceptance of forage harvesting equipment began in Tatarstan. The readiness of agricultural organizations for harvesting on May 20 was held in Bugulma and Nurlatsky districts, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Tatarstan reported.
"Experts checked the operation of the units, the serviceability of the truck scales, the readiness of the silage trenches for storing juicy feed for cattle on the farms," the message says.
The representatives of the ministry paid special attention to the inspection of forage harvesters. We also checked the validity periods of the driver's licenses, the fulfillment of safety and labor protection requirements at enterprises.
According to the head of the regional department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Ismagilov, with the correct organization of labor, "forage harvesters are ready to prepare high-quality feed in the required volumes."
In the Bugulma region, it is planned to start harvesting feed on May 25. Farmers will have to harvest perennial grasses on an area of 12,5 thousand hectares. Under favorable weather conditions, the harvesting of the first grass cut is planned to be completed by June 20.
In the Nurlat region, the commission examined 17 forage harvesters, seven self-propelled and 34 trailed mowers and other equipment. Farmers are recommended to take an active part in leasing programs to renew the fleet of equipment.
