Agricultural organizations and farms of the Novgorod region continue to harvest potatoes. According to the operational data of the regional Ministry of Agriculture, more than 14,3 thousand tons of products were collected from an area of 535 hectares. The average yield is 268 centners per hectare.
The gross harvest of vegetables amounted to 6,9 thousand tons (152,7 ha) with an average yield of 455 c/ha. Rapeseed was harvested from an area of 1007 hectares, 998 tons were harvested. The average yield is 9,9 q/ha. 13,3 thousand tons of grain were harvested. This is 45 percent of the plan for this season. The average yield is 21,5 q/ha. Grain crops were harvested from an area of 7,7 thousand hectares, including 6,1 thousand hectares for grain, 1,6 thousand hectares for fodder.
In some farms that harvest grain for fodder, the harvest season is coming to an end. For example, at the Khvoyninsky dairy enterprise "SPK Levochsky", the total threshed amounted to almost two thousand tons. The farm is fully provided with fodder grain, straw, the necessary stock of oat seeds and grain mixtures for the next year has been created.
A number of large farms have begun preparations for sowing winter crops.
The production of protected ground vegetables in greenhouse complexes of year-round production and seasonal greenhouses is increasing. Since the beginning of the year, 8,4 thousand tons of fresh products have been harvested (139,5% compared to last year), most of them - 7,2 thousand tons - in winter greenhouses located in the Novgorod region.
