The grand opening of the August-Tyulyachi complex for processing and storage of grain, legumes and oilseeds, built by the August company, took place on November 17, 2023 in the Tyulyachinsky municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. At the new seed plant with a design capacity of 10 tons per hour, they plan to produce seeds of winter and spring wheat of high reproduction, as well as peas. The production building of the plant is equipped with high-tech equipment, with the help of which multi-stage cleaning and calibration of grain will be carried out, as well as its multi-layer dressing with liquid and powder components to improve sowing qualities. The Avgust company is a leading Russian manufacturer of plant protection chemicals, and is also developing its own agricultural business on the basis of several farms under the management of the Avgust-Agro Management Company.
The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan - Minister of Agriculture and Food of the region Marat Zyabbarov, General Director of the August Group of Companies Alexander Uskov, Head of the Tyulyachinsky District Nazip Khazipov and General Director of the August-Agro Management Company Aidar Galyautdinov.
“We must work for a good harvest for the republic. I would like to congratulate the Tyulyachinsky district, this is a good investment project and additional jobs,” Marat Zyabbarov said at the ceremony.
“Historically, this area has always been a place where good seeds were grown and obtained,” noted Alexander Uskov. “Today we are returning seed farming here and hope that our products will be superior in quality to imported ones. The seeds that will be produced at the new plant are intended not only for August-Agro farms: they will also be available to other agricultural producers in the republic. I would like to sincerely thank the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan and the entire leadership of the republic for the conditions that are created here for the implementation of investment projects.”
Previously, at the August-Tyulyachi farm, managed by the August-Agro Management Company, a grain drying complex with a capacity of 50 tons per hour was built, allowing for commercial grain cleaning and drying. The second stage of the project, which started in 2022, was aimed at creating infrastructure specifically for seed production. A separate production building and four warehouses with an area of 2 thousand square meters were erected for the seed plant. meters each, a laboratory building with a weighing and checkpoint, as well as access roads.
The equipment complex at the seed plant includes solutions from different manufacturers, including domestic ones. On the production line of the enterprise, grain undergoes multi-stage cleaning and calibration by size and weight. An air-sieve cleaner with an innovative three-channel aspiration system makes it possible to flexibly adjust the parameters for working with seeds of any crop, including small-seeded ones such as flax and mustard. In addition, the production line includes trier blocks - machines that calibrate grains by length and separate impurities, as well as pneumatic tables, with the help of which seed material is sorted into fractions with different specific gravity. In addition, the line will be equipped with a photo sorter: this is a relatively new promising technology for the Russian market that allows you to separate weeds from good grain by color.
“An important distinguishing feature of the seed line at August-Tyulyachi is the presence of an additional calibration machine for separating grain into size fractions. Thus, each field will receive seeds that are the same in size and specific gravity. This will allow you to achieve uniform plant germination, and hence yield. Dividing the seed material into size fractions with subsequent processing of each significantly increases the overall productivity of the installation,” notes General Director of August-Agro Aidar Galyautdinov.
Safe transportation of grain during the production process is carried out using improved lifting equipment - elevators with swinging buckets, which virtually eliminates injury to seeds at the plant. After sorting, the grain will be sent to the treatment line, where it will begin to be treated with drugs to protect against diseases and pests. A modern multidragator will allow you to apply several layers of disinfectants to the surface of the seeds, differentiating the process depending on needs: simultaneously, alternately, at specified time intervals and with different intensities. New approaches to dressing make it possible to carry out the procedure carefully and economically, rationally using disinfectants, minimizing the friction of seeds against each other and not requiring subsequent drying. The system of grain acceptance and shipment at the plant, among other things, is notable for its flexibility: seeds can arrive at the enterprise from the general grain flow of the grain drying complex, they can be delivered using vehicles or removed from big bag packaging if they were brought in this form. It will also be possible to run only the equipment that is necessary for a specific operation (for example, only a pneumatic table and a photo sorter or only a pickling line). The same applies to packaging finished products in big bags: this can be done after treating the seeds with protective drugs, and immediately after sorting, if dressing is not required. The specialists of the August-Tyulyachi agricultural company have already been trained in the rules of servicing and adjusting machines.
The production capacity of the plant will be 10 tons per hour. This will make it possible to produce an average of 25 thousand tons of seeds per year, which will ensure sowing on an area of about 100 thousand hectares.
