The republic's first fruit and vegetable processing plant will be launched in mid-May in the Tskhinvali region. This project is being implemented within the framework of the state program of preferential lending with the participation of Russian banks.
As the Minister of Economic Development of South Ossetia Sarmat Kotaev said, for the first time local businesses have the opportunity to receive a preferential loan from Russian banks. And one of them made a positive decision to finance the construction of a processing plant.
General Director of the investor company Subira AV LLC Alan Parastaev clarified that the total cost of the project is 610 million rubles. Of this amount, about 70 million rubles are own funds, and the rest are borrowed.
The company plans to produce jam, fruit pastilles, compotes, various marinades and canned food, sauces, and vegetable caviar. Sales of products will presumably be carried out on the markets of South Ossetia and Russia.
