- Today, small farms produce almost 330 tons of vegetables per day, and volumes will grow. The main sales channel - fairs and markets - is now closed. If the epidemic allows, we will open them next week. But until then, products should not be allowed to simply disappear and be thrown away. It is necessary to help farmers with sales, - Benjamin Kondratyev set the task.
Vice-Governor Andrei Korobka explained that now the Ministry of Agriculture, the Department of Consumer Sector and municipalities are jointly coordinating measures to help farmers sell products.
- For large manufacturers, those sales channels that they had will be preserved; they cannot have barriers in transit. The products of small enterprises are sent to small retail stores in the districts. Thus, local residents are guaranteed to be provided with fresh vegetables, said the vice-governor.
The deputy head of the region, Vasily Shvets, noted that in order to prevent a shortage of goods, a number of retail chains began to enter into operational terms simplified contracts for the supply of products with small producers and farms.
“We are monitoring the situation and are working on the issue in order to present shelves with local vegetables in each store,” the vice-governor noted.
According to him, the range of federal retail chains is steadily saturated with Kuban products. The most widely represented are fruits and vegetables - 65%, bread and bakery products - 83%, dairy products - 50%, preservation - 50%, water and soft drinks - 50%. The share of local products in local local stores is even higher and in some positions reaches 100%.
In addition, the interaction of farmers with online retail is being established. In a number of regions of the region - in Belorechensky, Bryukhovetsky, Starominsky, Uspensky, Kalininsky, Leningradsky and Shcherbinovsky - farmers began to sell their own goods in local stores and carry out home delivery of products.
