Potato harvesting completed in Transbaikalia, reports official website of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. The gross harvest exceeded last year's figure by 500 tons, said the head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture Denis Bochkarev.
“Agricultural organizations and farms of the region have finished harvesting potatoes, which were dug out from an area of 799 hectares of potatoes. This is 43 hectares more than the landing area harvested in 2021. 9,2 thousand tons of tubers were dug out, which is 500 tons more than last year. The average yield in Transbaikalia remained the same as a year ago - 115 centners per hectare,” the minister said.
The leader in the gross potato harvest was the Chita region, where farms received 5,4 thousand tons of products. In the Uletovsky district, 1,5 thousand of this crop were dug up. The harvest of farmers in the Olovyanninsky district amounted to 1,1 thousand tons of potatoes.
