JSC Rosagroleasing is a state-owned leasing company established in 2001 to solve the problems of technical and technological modernization of the agro-industrial complex. Today it is one of the leaders in the agroleasing segment. According to the company, every fourth harvester and every third tractor in Russia is purchased through Rosagroleasing.
We are talking with Maxim Petrunin, Project Manager of the Department for Coordination and Business Development of JSC Rosagroleasing, about what results the company has reached by the end of 2022 and what it offers farmers in the new season.
– Maxim, there have been many changes in the agricultural machinery market over the past year. Has leasing remained a popular tool for agricultural producers in the new conditions?
- Yes, definitely. The demand for equipment in 2022, despite all the difficulties, has only increased. And leasing services in 2022, compared to the same period in 2021, have become more in demand.
JSC Rosagroleasing plays an important role in the development of the agricultural leasing segment: for 11 months of 2022, the company's share in shipments of domestic equipment to the Russian market amounted to 30%.
I would also like to note that lately we have not recorded a decrease in the payment discipline of our clients. On the contrary, it has grown significantly. This is largely due to the fact that we have retained preferential terms for our customers.
- Tell us about the preferential conditions in more detail.
– Our company is not chasing profit: from the moment of its establishment and until now, the main task of Rosagroleasing is to reduce the financial burden on the farmers. To do this, we constantly hold special promotions that are focused on the seasonal needs of the industry and the solution of current short-term problems.
One of the most popular is "Early Booking", which we have been running for the third year in a row. At the moment (and until February 28, 2023), agricultural producers have the opportunity to reserve the necessary machines (more than 35 thousand units of equipment are available for purchase) and at the same time postpone the advance payment for them until April, and the payment of the principal debt until September 2023. The lease term for this share is eight years.
Unique leasing conditions, coupled with special programs, make it possible to increase the volume of deliveries every year.
– Do you offer special conditions for industry unions and associations?
- Let me remind you that the main task of Rosagroleasing is to help small businesses, whose representatives are mostly united in unions. 80% of Rosagroleasing's transactions are accounted for by SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises). Therefore, for them, as well as for all its customers, the company offers the most favorable conditions.
For example, ACKOR members can defer the first lease payment for six months, and the program "Belarusian Technology" provides an opportunity to subsidize lease payments when purchasing machinery and equipment of Belarusian production at the expense of the budget of the Republic of Belarus.
In addition, you can purchase equipment even more profitable if you take part in our preferential programs and at the same time take advantage of regional state support measures.
– What kind of support does Rosagroleasing provide to potato growers?
– I would like to draw your attention to the fact that all the activities of Rosagroleasing JSC are aimed at supporting the domestic engineering industry. However, the company is actively working on expanding the range. In order to prevent a slowdown in the pace of technical modernization of the agro-industrial complex and to meet the needs of farmers in new equipment in full, we are also increasing cooperation with suppliers of foreign equipment.
Basically, we are talking about the supply of highly specialized machines, including beet harvesters, potato harvesters and forage harvesters.
Rosagroleasing works, for example, with Chinese manufacturers of agricultural machinery, but is not limited to certain brands, giving the client a choice.
As for shipments, over the years the company has invested about 870 million rubles in the supply of equipment for organizations growing or selling potatoes. Of these funds, 92,4 million rubles were spent in 2022.
