CGU team I.N. Ulyanova presented at the Field Day of Chuvashia a prototype of an unmanned wheeled mini-tractor Uralets 224, prepared for mass production, reports portal of authorities of the Chuvash Republic.
The authors of the project set out to develop a method for controlling a robotic wheeled tractor, which will allow an unmanned tractor with a technological machine to follow a certain trajectory on rough terrain and perform various agricultural activities.
After being refined in the laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the equipment turned into a modern drone - with the help of the remote control, the tractor drives itself, and the cab is no longer there initially, only the sensors transmit an array of information to the operator. To do this, the developers placed a CAN bus in the tractor, wrote special programs, installed sensors, controllers for the main control systems of the machine-tractor unit.
This year, two options were presented at the exhibition: with a sprayer and a rotary mower. Work is underway to ensure that the tractor moves fully automatically when the operator determines the field along the contours and gives the task to perform a certain agrotechnical operation.
